Prediction: To give an opportunity like this on DWCS to a guy like Lopes is distasteful. The dude has had one fight in the last six years. He’s a former welterweight that is now an out-of-shape heavyweight. He may in fact be the worst fighter to ever be on the Contender Series.
Teixeira is towering at six-foot-eight. It’s very nice to see a guy the size of Teixeira know how to use his reach. He throws long jabs and chopping leg kicks while being able to snipe his opponent at any time. He’s also a BJJ black belt even though we haven’t seen his ground game.
There is still a lot to be seen and this fight won’t show us much unfortunately. I’ve got Teixeira by first-round knockout and I’m 100% confident.
