The July 20, 2024 card at the APEX is starting to take shape. And in one key addition, Dan Ige will take on Joanderson Brito, on the main card, in a pivotal bout for the UFC’s featherweight division.
Ag.Fight was the first to announce news of the booking.
Dan Ige (18-7) is currently ranked at #13 within the always competitive featherweight division. Since going on a three-fight skid from 2021 to 2022, Ige has won three of his last four fights. Dan has also been one half of the co main event in three of his last four fights. ’50K”s most recent fight was a first-round finish over UFC veteran Andre Fili back in February.
Joanderson Brito (17-3-1) is just 5-1 in the UFC. A product of the 2021 Contender Series season, Brito lost his first fight to Bill Algeo via unanimous decision in January of 2022. Since that bout, Joanderson has finished all five of his opponents, including three in the first round. Brito’s last time out was on his first PPV card, UFC 301, when he scored a TKO over Jack Shore thanks to a brutal shin injury. Needless to say, Brito is on a real hot streak at the moment. The Brazilian called for a big fight after his most recent fight and will now draws a ranked opponent.
