The Professional Fighters League has announced the signing of two top MMA prospects from the United Arab Emirates for PFL MENA.

Surging flyweight Hadi Omar Al Hussaini and burgeoning featherweight Youssef Al Housani have both signed on to multi-fight contracts, the PFL announced recently via press release. Both fighters have signed exclusive deals with the company.

Al Hussaini and Al Housani are in alignment to compete in showcase contests while the first ever PFL MENA season kicks off. The goal thereafter is for both to be amalgamated into the 2025 season.

In discussing this recent pair of signings, VP of Fighter Operations for PFL MENA Gustavo Firmino said, “We are thrilled to welcome two of the UAE’s top prospects to PFL MENA. The mission of the PFL is to find the best fighters in every region around the world.”

“Our partnership with SRJ Sports has allowed the PFL to identify and sign exceptional fighters like Al Hussaini and Al Housani who we know have the potential to become global stars in the sport.”

Hadi Omar Al Hussaini has never tasted defeat in professional mixed martial arts. He is coming off of his last fight in March at MEFC 3. Al Hussaini joins the ranks of PFL MENA boasting a 5-0-1 professional record. The former UAE Warriors product gets in work out of AKA. He hopes to someday join the deep lineage of champions from that space. This includes Khabib Nurmagomedov, Islam Makhachev, Daniel Cormier, and more.

Youssef Al Housani joins the PFL MENA stable with a 4-1 overall record riding back to back wins into this. Al Housani is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt and has several Abu Dhabi Jiu-Jitsu Pro championships on his resume. Youssef Al Housani also signs with this burgeoning PFL division on the heels of winning at MEFC 3 in March like Al Hussaini.

PFL has ever growing global goals for their brand with PFL Europe and PFL MENA (Middle East-North Africa) divisions already established.

There are more international leagues in development for the Professional Fighters League. Nothing has publicly come to light as of yet on the next regional division for the company, but PFL Africa is known to be in the works. In the meantime, PFL MENA 1 takes place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Friday, May 10, 2024.
