A high-octane featherweight fight has been booked for the UFC’s June 29, 2024 card — which would happen to be UFC 303.

That showdown will see veterans Cub Swanson and Andre Fili throw down, with Swanson sticking with the 145lb division for the second straight bout.

News of the booking was announced by Iridium Sports Agency, who represent Fili, on Friday.

Now a member of the UFC Hall of Fame’s Fight Wing for his UFC 206 classic with Doo-Ho Choi, Swanson will be looking for his third win in four fights when he throws down with “Touchy” Fili. Most recently, “Killer” Cub earned a unanimous decision win over Canadian Hakeem Dawodu.

Long a fan-favorite, Cub Swanson competed for the WEC from 2007 to 2010, later joining the UFC, which had bought up the smaller promotion but initially ran it as a separate entity. Swanson would go on to earn key wins over Dustin Poirier and Jeremy Stephens, and shared the cage with the likes of Max Holloway and Frankie Edgar during his initial run at 145lbs.

In 2022, he dipped down to bantamweight, only to come up short against Jonathan Martinez before bouncing back opposite Dawodu.

Andre Fili sits at 2-2 across his last four fights, with wins over Bill Algeo and Lucas Almeida in that span.

UFC 303 caps off this year’s International Fight Week, and takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV.
