The UFC will return to Perth, Australia for a Pay-Per-View event on August 17, 2024, with UFC 305 announced for that date.

Promotion officials recently revealed the event, set for the RAC Arena on Aug. 17, without confirming any fight bookings for the PPV card.

Rest assured, all eyes will be on some of the region’s biggest stars, including Australian featherweight ex-champ Alexander Volkanovski, and former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, who calls nearby New Zealand home.

The promotion has touched down in Perth twice previously, with UFC 284 in February of 2023 their most recent visit. That card saw the initial meeting of Volkanovski and lightweight champ Islam Makhachev.

Prior to that, 2018’s UFC 221 featured a middleweight headliner as Luke Rockhold took on Yoel Romero.

The UFC announced a partnership with the government of New South Wales, Australia in 2023 to bring multiple events to Sydney. Which means you can expect trips down under to be a yearly event for the foreseeable future, between the two cities.

Historically, the promotion has also touched down in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and the Gold Coast. The UFC has visited Australia a total of 17 times since it first debuted in the nation back in 2010, with a card that featured Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira taking on Cain Velasquez in Sydney.
