Anthony Hernandez Looking To “Remind The World” With Performance At UFC 298

Anaheim, CA – Anthony Hernandez was dealt a rough card late into his UFC 298 fight camp, as his original opponent, Ikram Aliskerov pulled out of their bout. Fortunately, the in form, Roman Kopylov stepped up.

“Fluffy” Hernandez is riding a four fight win streak heading into his eighth UFC bout, and is currently occupying rank 15 in the 185lb division.

Talking of his opponent at the UFC 298 media day, Hernandez stated that he doesn’t believe that Kopylov has fought someone like him, despite the Russian’s four fight knockout streak, and despite the opponent change, the goal is the same.

“Same approach as always, work my f****** a** off to make sure I’m doing everything right and have my coaches to guide me through this, but obviously this guy (Kopylov) is a striker, not a wrestler, the other guy (Aliskerov) had way more weapons I would say, this guy (Kopylov) is a really good kicker, good striker so it does change a little bit, but it was the same game-plan no matter what, gas him out and drown him.

Everyone in the UFC is f****** good right? Everyone’s here for a reason, but like I said, everyone he has fought is not me so I just plan on going out there and grounding him.”

Hernandez’s last fight was back in May of last year, and activity is something he is looking to improve on throughout 2024.

“Main goal is to win, second goal would be to stay healthy and I definitely want to bang out some fights. I’m not getting any younger so I need to f****** go get this s***. I need to make my run to the title and that’s all I want to do.”
