UFC middleweight Sedriques Dumas was arrested and brought up on battery charges on Tuesday morning in Florida after a confrontation with police.

TMZ was the first to report the arrest.

Dumas, 28, was booked at 6:13 am according to Escambia County Jail Records. Video posted to Dumas Facebook account and TMZ’s site shows a confrontation with police outside of a home that ended with his arrest.

“I’m beyong f*cking pissed. I’m just walking to blow off some steam and she want to come at me and tell me I’m disrupting,” Dumas says on his video posted to social media.

Police are heard telling Dumas that they were called by a woman saying “her boyfriend was banging on the door and ringing the doorbell” which Dumas denied doing.

The video ends with the officers presumably putting Dumas in cuffs. Dumas remains in jail with a scheduled court appearance on March 5, according to county records.

Sedriques Dumas (9-1) is currently on a two-fight win streak coming off a decision victory over Abu Azaitar at UFC 294 last October. He earned a spot in the UFC after submitting Matej Penaz at Dana White’s Contender Series in August 2022.

He is currently 2-1 as a UFC fighter with victories over Cody Brundage and Azaitar. His lone loss came at the hands of Josh Fremd last March.
