Lightweight action has been lined up for UFC Vegas 87 in March, as popular 155lb’ers Thiago Moises and Brad Riddell face off.
Moises (17-7) and Riddell (10-4) are the latest addition to the Fight Night card on March 16, 2024, with the event set to take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Eurosport’s Marcel Dorff was first to report news of the booking, which was subsequently confirmed by Moises on social media.
“You don’t wanna miss this one, I promise you!” added the Brazilian, who is coming off a loss to Benoit Saint-Denis that snapped a two-fight win streak.
Moises holds wins over Bobby Green, Alexander Hernandez, Michael Johnson and others since joining the UFC in 2018, entering by way of Dana White’s Contender Series Brazil 3. Thiago Moises is also a former RFA lightweight champ.
New Zealand’s Brad Riddell became known for hard-hitting, exciting fights upon arrival in the UFC, but has lost his last three fights, putting him in dangerous territory heading into UFC Vegas 87. That comes on the tail of four straight wins to kick off his UFC career, including a Fight of the Night victory against Drew Dober.
More recently, however, Riddell has fallen to Rafael Fiziev, Jalin Turner, and Renato Moicano.
UFC Vegas 87 takes place March 16, 2024 in Las Vegas, NV with the following fights reported for the event to date:
- Charalampos Grigoriou vs. Toshiomi Kazama
- Ode’ Osbourne vs. Jafel Filho
- Christian Rodriguez vs. Isaac Dulgarian
