Andre Muniz Looking To Show He Still Belongs At The Top Of 185

Las Vegas, NV – UFC middleweight Andre Muniz isn’t thinking too much about recent losses as he prepares to face Junyong Park at UFC Vegas 83.

“(The losses) it’s motivation. I worked very hard for those two fights. The win didn’t come, but for this camp we did everything we could do to come out with the win on Saturday,” Muniz told reporters through a translator on Wednesday.

He will meet Park in the octagon on Saturday night. Park comes into UFC Vegas 83 on a 4-fight win streak with 3 of those coming by finish.

“Tough guy coming off of consecutive wins. Good in striking and good on the ground as well. I’ve been in this position before and I’ve been in the moment that he is right now, but I see myself being able to pressure, impose my game and put my game plan strategy on,” said Muniz.

“And coming out with the win here in Las Vegas.”

It isn’t just the win that Muniz is looking for. He looks for an emphatic finish to prove that he’s still very dangerous.

“Showing to the organization, showing the division, showing people that I’m back in the win column,” Muniz said.

“Active and that I’m going to go back to the top of this division.”
