Daniel Zellhuber: Special Night at Noche UFC Made More Special By Mexican Crowd

Las Vegas, NV – For UFC lightweight Daniel Zellhuber his victory over Christos Giagos at Noche UFC was made even more special by the crowd who came to support him and his fellow Mexican fighters on Saturday night.

“I was just happy and enjoying everything overall,” Zellhuber told reporters including Cageside Press at his post-fight scrum.

“I will say that the crowd. Fighting for all the Mexican people in here and getting that finish that’s the most.”

To make the night even more special Zellhuber snatched an anaconda choke to finish the fight in the second round. Up to that point Giagos had been able to time his shots and had been landing heavy strikes on Zellhuber before the fight was finished.

“We know that Christos was a very complete fighter. He likes to wrestle, he likes to strike, so the camp goes like instead of focus on one thing we focused in the complete MMA game,” he said.

“I work a lot my wrestling defense, my takedown defense, and I’m already a black belt in jiu jitsu. I just saw it there, I (went) for it, and it works.”
