The second half of a Cage Fury FC double header arrived on Saturday, with CFFC 124 featuring a middleweight title fight in the main event.
That title fight would see UFC alum Kyle Daukaus return to action, looking to snag middleweight gold away from champ Gregg Ellis. Daukaus, whose brother Chris competed in the heavyweight and light heavyweight divisions in the UFC until just recently, had a bumpy run in the promotion, posting a 2-4, 1NC contest record through seven fights.
He had bounced back for CFFC earlier this year, and was now looking for gold — having held the Cage Fury middleweight belt prior to his UFC stint.
Ellis, meanwhile, no doubt saw a victory over Daukaus as a path to get to the big show himself.
CFFC 124: Ellis vs. Daukaus takes place Saturday, September 2, 2023 at the Parx Casino in Bensalem, PA, airing live on UFC Fight Pass. The preliminary card kicks off at 6:30PM ET, with the main card getting underway at 7PM. Full results can be found below.
