UFC debutant Caolan Loughran is one of four fighters who suffered from a series of bouts being re-jigged ahead of UFC Paris this coming Saturday.

The undefeated Irishman was scheduled to open up the UFC Paris main card, taking on Yanis Ghemmouri. However late last night, the 28-year-old posted on his Twitter account that there may be an issue with the originally scheduled fight.

A few days prior to this happening William Gomis’ scheduled opponent, Lucas Almeida, pulled out of their bout, leaving the French featherweight without an opponent. He wasn’t the only home country fighter to lose an opponent in the past few days though as Taylor Lapilus’ opponent, Muin Gafurov, ran into visa issues meaning he was unable to make it to Paris.

The UFC have managed to salvage the fights though by re-jigging the match-ups. Yanis Ghemmouri, who fought at featherweight for his last fight, will now be matched up with William Gomis at 145lbs.

Fortunately for Loughran, he will still be making his much anticipated UFC debut on Saturday as he will now take on Taylor Lapilus, still at the originally scheduled weight of 135lbs. Despite that Lapilus is undoubtedly more experienced than his previous scheduled opponent, Ghemmouri.

The bout order for the event is currently unconfirmed due to these match-up changes. Cageside Press confirmed the news following initial reports by Al Zullino and the AB Show.
