Middleweight Jacob Malkoun has a new opponent for the UFC’s September 23, 2023 Fight Night event.
Australia’s Malkoun (7-2) had been paired up with the undefeated Aliaskhab Khizriev on the UFC Vegas 79 card. However, with Khizriev out (confirmed by Malkoun previously), Poland’s Robert Bryczek (17-5) is stepping up to take the fight — making his UFC debut in the process.
Jacob Malkoun confirmed the booking on his Instagram story following an initial report by Polsat Sport.
Coming off a win over Nick Maximov, Malkoun is 3-2 inside the octagon to date, with additional wins over Abdul Razak Alhassan and AJ Dobson.
Bryczek is an Oktagon MMA veteran who will enter his promotional debut on a five-fight win streak. He has a win over British veteran Lee Chadwick in that span.
The UFC’s September 23, 2023 event is set for the Apex in Las Vegas, and will be headlined by Bryczek’s countryman Mateusz Gamrot, taking on Rafael Fiziev at lightweight. The following match-ups have been reported for the event:
