Terrance McKinney Has A Message For Keyboard Warriors On Social Media

Las Vegas, NV – UFC lightweight Terrance McKinney snapped a two-fight losing streak with a first round finish of Mike Breeden at UFC Vegas 78, but it was also a message to those who took to social media after his recent losses.

“I wasn’t down. I got a lot of guys on my team that’s putting a smile on my face, that’s preaching positivity in my life, and just knowing as long as my family loves me that’s all the acceptance I need,” McKinney told reporters including Cageside Press at his post-fight scrum.

“I need acceptance from God, my family, and that’s what I have to keep realizing. I don’t need the fans to feel good. I need the ones that’s been there since day one and that’s never going to leave my side. That’s what helped me push through.”

Social media is full of different types of folks, but the loudest ones are the “keyboard warriors” who take to Twitter or Instagram to send post negative comments on McKinney’s posts. He had a message for them.

“Like my Triple H,” McKinney told Cageside Press as he did the DX Chop known to most WWE fans. “Suck it!”

Speaking of support two of McKinney’s close friends UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill and welterweight Kevin Holland were in attendance in support of the young lightweight.

“It’s huge because I really look up to them. They showed me how to carry myself outside the cage and inside the cage. How to move around with the staff and treat them with respect, and my family,” he said.

“I make sure I always treat you guys right.”
