UFC 291 is official, although two fighters on the highly anticipated Salt Lake City card came in heavy on Friday morning.
The second Pay-Per-View event from the UFC in the month of July is headlined by Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje, a rematch five years in the making that now features the “BMF” championship on the line. A stacked main card sees Alex Pereira arrive at light heavyweight in the co-main event, with the former middleweight champ facing Jan Blachowicz, a former 205lb champion.
Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson, meanwhile, is set for a very fun match-up with Brazilian Michel Pereira. “Demolidor” turned out to be one of two fighters coming in heavy on Friday, weighing in at 174lbs for the welterweight fight.

The other fighter that tipped the scales heavy was Vinicius Salvador, who was overweight for a preliminary card flyweight fight against C.J. Vergara.
