Esteban Ribovics Likes Tough Fights, Wants A Wrestler Before End Of 2023

Las Vegas, NV – UFC lightweight Esteban Ribovics got a tough fight out of Kamuela Kirk at UFC 290 on Saturday night, but he wouldn’t have it any other way specially since he walked away with the victory.

“I like hard fights, tough fights like that, but I know how much of a hard fight he is. I kind of pictured it,” Ribovics told reporters including Cageside Press through a translator at his post-fight scrum.

Even though he was coming off a loss in his last fight there was no hesitation from Ribovics in taking a tough fight against Kirk.

“It was a motivation. It’s a way, a path, that I’ve been through. A venue that I’ve seen, lights that I have already encountered, I’ve been through that. The nerves of the fight. I’ve gone through that and I can really focus on the fight,” he said.

Ribovics (12-1) said he didn’t really know where he wants to fight next, but definitely wants to get back into the octagon before the year is out.

“No place in mind. I just want to make sure that I fight towards the end of the year,” said Ribovics.

“So when I go back and work on my wrestling, work on the ground game, I just really want to fight before the end of December.”
