It’s already pretty expensive to watch a UFC pay-per-view on ESPN+, but fans will get hit in the pocket once again as Disney is set to raise the price to watch the biggest MMA promotion in the world in 2023.

The Sports Business Journal was the first to break the news.

This will be the fourth time the PPV price has been raised since the partnership between ESPN and the UFC became official in 2019. When the deal was first struck the price to watch the UFC on PPV was $59.99. In 2023 the official price will be $79.99.

That does not include the required ESPN+ subscription in order to purchase the PPV. That price was also raised recently from $6.99 to $9.99 per month.

Fans have not been happy in recent years with rise in prices specially during an economically difficult time in the United States.

According to Disney the price hike reflects “the value of ESPN+ and the popularity and quality of UFC events.”

UFC 283 takes place on Jan 21 from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil followed by UFC 284 on Feb 11 and UFC 285 on March 4. To watch all three events will cost over $240 not including ESPN+ monthly subscription price.

Dana White has previously said that he has no say in PPV price hikes saying that it is completely ESPN’s decision to do so.
