After a match-up with Max Rohskopf fell through twice in the past year, Erick Sanchez was finally set to make his promotional debut at Cage Warriors 143 on Friday night in San Diego, CA.
The promotion’s return to sunny San Diego had Sanchez paired up with Jamey Lynch in a lightweight bout that could push the victor closer to a title shot. Lynch had won two straight under the Cage Warriors banner, and entered the fight off a TKO victory over Cesar Gonzalez.
Ahead of the card, the latest Cage Warriors outing lost a fight, with Tyler Escoto unable to be cleared to compete by the California State Athletic Commission for his bout with Orlando Sanders.
