TTP Ep. 341 with Leon Aliu, Trey Waters and UFC Paris

Trey Waters Interview (1:24)

Kicking off this week’s edition of TTP is an interview with Trey Waters. Although Waters is not in the UFC for UFC Paris (not yet at least), he’ll be fighting soon after on week 7 of Dana White’s Contender Series. He discusses getting a short notice call to fight in the most intense job interview in sports. He also discusses the viral knee knockout that brought him a lot of the publicity and that may have led to this point. Additionally, he shares some thoughts on his opponent, Gabriel Bonfim.

Fights, Dogs, and Parlays: UFC Paris (14:39)

Next up, we’re heading to Paris. Metaphorically, of course. But we’re breaking down all of the action going on at UFC Paris – including a wild headliner between a pair of heavyweights. Does Tai Tuivasa have what it takes to score as a massive underdog? We’ll give you our thoughts. We’ll also give you our favorite underdog on the card and a parlay that we think will make your wallet fat. All of that great stuff in the neatest, smoothest, quickest breakdown in the game. Leon Aliu Interview (28:50)

Closing out this week’s edition of TTP is yet another Contender Series contract hopeful. Leon Aliu pops by all the way from Italy. While he’s next door to UFC Paris (figuratively), he’ll be heading to Vegas to compete in the Apex the Tuesday following. He talks about being one of the few Albanians and one of the few Italian-residents to get a chance at the Contender Series or UFC for that matter. He says that the people of Italy (particularly the MMA fans) buoy him as he prepares for the biggest moment of his fight career. He, of course, also shares his thoughts on his opponent Brunno Ferreira.
