Surging light heavyweights Dustin Jacoby and Da Un Jung faced off at UFC Long Island on Saturday, with both looking to extend impressive unbeaten streaks.
Jacoby’s second stint with the UFC has been nothing short of inspiring. A 5-0-1 record since he won his way back in on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2020 has Jacoby ranked #15 at 205 pounds. South Korea’s Jung likewise has looked good, going 4-0-1 inside the octagon to date.
Both fighters took the center of the octagon after a touch of gloves. A low kick from Jacoby opened the fight and a few seconds later the South Korean ate a heavy calf kick. Jung landed a low kick as well. Just under 90 seconds in, and both fighters have just exchanged low kicks. Jung threw a switch knee which almost landed. Jung started to let his hands go with two minutes left. Jacoby landed a 1-2 that flattened Jung, and the referee called the fight off.
Walk off knockout for Jacoby.
