For MMA fans, there were a whole lot of familiar faces on Friday’s BKFC 26 card.
Bare-Knuckle FC has essentially built its business model around re-purposing former mixed martial arts stars, and BKFC 26 was no exception. “The Queen of Bare-Knuckle” returned to action at the event, though prior to BKFC, Bec Rawlings was better known for her UFC and Invicta FC stints. With a 3-0 record in BKFC, she was returning for the first time since 2019 — in a rematch with Britain Hart.
In the main event, meanwhile, Luis Palomino, the promotion’s lightweight champion and a former WSOF standout, looked to claim a second title against welterweight champ Elvin Brito. For Palomino, 41, it was a chance to cement his legacy in the sport, after starting his bare-knuckle career at 6-0, defending his lightweight belt four times.
Brito vs. Palomino was also a rematch, with the pair having first met at BKFC 10 in February 2020.
In the co-main event, hard-hitting Uly Diaz looked to claim an interim middleweight title, going up against Francesco Ricchi.
BKFC 26 goes down on Friday, June 24, 2022 in Hollywood, Florida. Full results from the event can be found below. The BKFC 26 live stream is available here.
