Prediction: Gusman isn’t bad and actually is more well-rounded than most in this tournament. He wrestles more but he will have to rely more on his striking for this one.
Nakamura is a decorated wrestler with a lot of experience before transitioning to MMA. He won a bronze medal at the 2011 Cadet World Championship, a 2016 & 2017 Meiji Cup champion, and the 2017 U23 World Championship, and has a 37-10 freestyle record. Zero chance Gusman out-wrestles Nakamura. Gusman could outdo Nakamura on the feet but that won’t be an easy task. Nakamura has a speed advantage, real good footwork, and more knockout power. Gusman has a good skill set but Nakamura has him covered everywhere.
