A former UFC strawweight champion took note of UFC 274’s 115lb title fight between Carla Esparza and Rose Namajunas. And needless to say, Jessica Andrade was not impressed.

Andrade (23-9), who recently made a successful return to the division after moonlighting at flyweight, tagged Carla Esparza in her reaction to the fight, calling the newly crowned two-time champ the “champion of boredom.”

“I take advantage that you didn’t block me on twitter, I want to say that your fight yesterday was the worst in strawweight history, champion of boredom, I can’t wait to rip your head off,” Andrade wrote on social media. “Congratulations on the boredom belt, but fans of this sport want to see a massacre, I’ll do [it]!”

Carla Esparza’s fight against Namajunas, a rematch eight years in the making, was widely derided as one of the worst UFC title fights in MMA history. Fans in the arena heckled, jeered, and even did the wave, while the UFC’s own broadcast team, comprised of Jon Anik, Joe Rogan, and Daniel Cormier, called a spade a spade and compared the fight to Anderson Silva vs. Demian Maia — previously regarded as one of the worst title fights ever.

Andrade would go on to call the fight a disgrace to women’s MMA.

“Any of the top 5 would have fought better than the boredom champion did yesterday. Shame on the division. worst fight in the division’s history. It was a disgrace to women’s MMA. Arena booing the fight. Fans did not expect this.”

As amped up as Jessica Andrade may be to challenge Esparza for the belt, however, it seems she’ll have to get on line. Following UFC 274, Dana White confirmed that the UFC 275 strawweight rematch between Weili Zhang and Joanna Jedrzejczyk will be a number one contender’s match.
