The Professional Fighters League brought some of their biggest stars with them for PFL 3 on Friday in Arlington, including women’s lightweight juggernaut Kayla Harrison.

The biggest name on a card full of them, Harrison opened up her 2022 season against Bellator vet Marina Mokhnatkina. A heavy favorite in the fight, Harrison was again favored to win the season — but this year, she also had former Bellator women’s featherweight champ Julia Budd to contend with.

Budd, who fought in a one-off last year for the PFL, was making her season debut against Genah Fabian (who missed weight for the fight). Also in action on Friday, Rory MacDonald, another former Bellator champ, was in action against Brett Cooper, while Anthony Pettis kicked off his lightweight season against Myles Price.

Perhaps the biggest news, however, was defending, two-time PFL welterweight champion Ray Cooper III. The Hawaiian had missed weight for his fight, meaning he was ineligible to earn any points from the affair — and was deducted a point on top of that.
