An entertaining welterweight match-up is going down in June at Bellator 282.

On Monday, multiple sources confirmed to Cageside Press that Sabah Homasi will fight Maycon Mendonca on the June 24 card, set to take place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT.

Homasi (16-10) kicked off his 2022 by snapping his two-fight losing streak when he submitted Jaleel Willis at Bellator 273 with an arm-triangle choke in less than two minutes. The win over Willis put Homasi back into the top 10 welterweight rankings. Prior to his most recent win, he was defeated by Andrey Koreshkov and then had a Fight of the Year candidate with Paul Daley.

Mendonca (11-5) will be looking for his first Bellator win when he steps into the cage in June. Last July, the Brazilian lost his debut with the promotion, dropping a unanimous decision to common opponent Willis. Mendonca was riding a five-fight win streak before losing last year, including winning the vacant LFA welterweight title by defeating Batsumberel Dagvadorj.

Bellator 282 is headlined by a middleweight title fight between Gegard Mousasi and Johnny Eblen, and sees the promotion return to the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut after a two-event stint in Europe.

The rest of the Bellator 282 card looks like this:
