The final PFL Challenger Series card of the year was set to unfold Friday night in Orlando, Florida. The aptly named “Second Chance Night” saw PFL Challenger Series 8 hosting fighters looking to make another stab at securing a PFL deal, after coming up just short earlier this year.

In the featured fight of the evening, Carlos Leal returned, looking to build off his PFL Challenger Series 2 win over Korey Kuppe. Leal had finished Kuppe in under a minute back in February, but had been denied a contract. This time, he was up against Chris Brown, entering the fight off a January win under the LFA banner.

Brown, in fact, had won his last three fights, all coming in the Legacy Fighting Alliance.

Also on Friday’s card, Jackie Cataline, who picked up her first win as a pro last month, had a chance for a second, and maybe even a spot in the PFL 2022 regular season, against Jeslen Michelle — who had also picked up her first win at PFL Challenger Series 3.
