UFC London: Sergei Pavlovich Is All Business Even After The Fight

London – The UFC heavyweight division is in a makeover stage of sorts with the introduction of new talent, and more well-rounded fighters. The one thing that never seems to change at 265-pounds is that the big boys can still land a bomb and end a fight in the blink of an eye.

For UFC heavyweight Sergei Pavlovich that bomb landed near the end of the first round when he defeated Shamil Adburakhimov via KO at UFC London on Saturday night.

“My opponent is a very experienced guy. It was big preparation for this fight. I prepared for three rounds, but knockout comes when it comes,” Pavlovich said through a translator at his post-fight scrum.

Abdurakhimov was originally scheduled to face Tom Aspinall before he was moved to the top spot on the card leaving Shamil with Pavlovich.

“I have coaches, I have match makers. My work is train, train and train again. I am ready for everything.”

A man of few words, but he knows what his plan is now that the fight is over.

“Two years no fights, and now maybe too early to say about this. After I come to home I discuss with everybody and I’m ready for everything.”
