Consider 2022 the year of the fighter turned promoter. Jorge Masvidal has done it, with iKon FC. Khabib Nurmagomedov has done it, debuting his Eagle FC in the U.S. late last month. Next up, it’s Anthony Pettis, who brings Showtime FC to UFC Fight Pass on Friday, February 11, 2022.
The event, which is set to unfold at the RFP Funding Center in Lakeland, Florida, will feature at least a couple of names familiar to fight fans. In the main event, former UFC fighter Jacob Kilburn will throw down in a featherweight scrap with Lucas Alexander. Kilburn went 0-2 in his UFC run, and lost his lone fight in the PFL last August. He was up against Brazil’s Alexander, winner of four straight — who could punch his ticket to a bigger show with a win on Friday night.
Also in action, UFC and PFL veteran Steven Siler. With over 55 fights as a professional, Siler had shared the cage with the likes of Andre Harrison, Lance Palmer, Hakeem Dawodu, Will Brooks, Jeremy Kennedy, Mike Brown, Chad Mendes, Cole Miller, Darren Elkins, and a host of others. At Showtime FC 1, he’d go up against the undefeated Jakob Scheffel.
