Julianna Pena, Amanda Nunes to Coach The Ultimate Fighter 30, Rematch to Follow

The coaches for the upcoming 30th season of The Ultimate Fighter have been announced — with Julianna Pena and Amanda Nunes set to continue their rivalry on the show.

UFC officials announced the news in a press release on Friday. Pena and Nunes went head-to-head at UFC 269 back in December, with “The Venezuelan Vixen” pulling off the upset of a lifetime (or at least of the year) with her submission of Nunes. The victory saw her claim the UFC women’s bantamweight championship, one of Nunes’ two belts.

The Ultimate Fighter 30 will center on the men’s heavyweight and women’s flyweight divisions this time around. Casting for the show, which kicks off on May 3, 2022, was also announced on Friday. Set to appear are:

The Ultimate Fighter 30 marks the second season of the reality fighting series produced since an extended hiatus that ran from 2018 to 2021. The show will air Tuesday on ESPN+ in the U.S. Following the TUF 30 season, coaches Pena and Nunes will face off in a bantamweight title fight rematch, at a date and location to be announced.
