15 Female Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2022

Yasmin “Monstrinha” Castanho

25 | 5’5” | Rio de Janeiro, Brazil | 5-0 | 4 Finishes | 4 Submissions (3 Armbar’s, Arm-triangle) | Combined Opponents’ Record: 10-6 | Best win – Maristela Alves (4-0)

If Castanho was more active she would probably already be in the UFC. She only fought once last year, once in 2020, and once in 2019. With that said, in 2020 Castanho won the Taura MMA strawweight championship. Last year she made her debut to a wider audience fighting for LFA and winning in the first round.

Castanho has a lot of potential with a few minor adjustments needed. She does have a good jab and leg kicks and when in the clinch produces some good Muay Thai. Castanho excels on the mat and to get it there her judo is good and her wrestling seems okay. Once on the mat, Castanho is fighting where she’s best. She has three submission wins and her jiu-jitsu prior to the submission is good.
