The strawweight bout between Vanessa Demopoulos and Silvana Juarez will now take place at UFC 270 next week rather than this Saturday.

This Saturday’s UFC event has undergone another change as the strawweight bout between Vanessa Demopoulos and Silvana Juarez has been pushed back a week to UFC 270 next Saturday.  Demopoulos announced the news through her Instagram story on Wednesday afternoon.  No exact reasoning for the change was given.

Demopoulos (6-4) is looking for her first UFC victory after entering the promotion on short notice last August.  A former LFA champion and veteran of Dana White’s Contender Series, “Lil Monster” moved up in weight to face JJ Aldrich on short notice.  Demopoulos will now be moving back down to her natural weight class of 115 lbs.

Juarez (10-3) is also looking to get to the win-column in the Octagon after joining the promotion last October.  A veteran of LUX, Combate Global, and XFC, Juarez has fought current UFC fighters Poliana Botelho and Ariane Lipski prior to joining the promotion.

UFC 270 is currently set to take place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California and will feature a championship double-header with heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou facing Ciryl Gane and flyweight champion Brandon Moreno facing Deiveson Figueiredo for the third time.
