Jai won the Cage Warriors Lightweight Championship in 2019 in his second to last fight before being picked up by the UFC. Herbert has faced excellent competition in his professional career and has passed almost every test.
Jai’s first two fights in the UFC were against absolute stud veterans of the organization: Francisco Trinaldo and Renato Moicano. Though he lost both, Jai definitely showed some very promising moments for some potential things to come especially in the fight with Trinaldo.
Jai’s best weapons are his right cross and his knee in the clinch. Jai is very strong in the thai clinch. Herbert has a lighting quick jab and he works pretty much everything from there. Jai uses it to feint as well as to obstruct his opponents vision to land his right straight. Because of his hand speed, Jai will also throw a naked straight right.
Jai Herbert is a very exciting natural striker that will be fun for fans to watch.
