A pair of Dana White Contender Series featherweights will throw down at a UFC Fight Night in November.
MMA Junkie was first to report the news that Sean Woodson will fight Colin Anglin on November 13 at the yet-to-be-announced event. Both fighters would confirm the news on social media.
Woodson (8-1) recently bounced back after suffering his first professional loss to Julian Erosa in 2020. In June, he defeated Youssef Zalal via unanimous decision. The Sniper is 2-1 in the UFC so far.
Colin Anglin (8-2) will be looking for his first UFC win when he enters the octagon for the second time. He was finished via TKO in his promotional debut against Melsik Baghdasaryan in July. The loss snapped a seven-fight win streak. Anglin won his UFC contract on season four of Dana White’s Contender Series when he defeated Muhammadjon Naimov via unanimous decision.
No location, venue, or broadcast plan has been announced for the November 20 event, but promotion President Dana White said that all Fight Nights will be staying at the Apex in Las Vegas, NV. Max Holloway and Yair Rodriguez are expected to headline.
So far, the November 13 card features the following match-ups:
- Max Holloway vs. Yair Rodríguez
- Ovince Saint Preux vs. Philipe Lins
- Jessica Eye vs. Andrea Lee
- Lando Vannata vs. Tucker Lutz
- Ben Rothwell vs. Marcos Rogerio de Lima
- Sean Woodson vs. Collin Anglin
