Hubbard then pushed away and leg kicks were traded. Push kicks landed on both sides and a big right connected for Hubbard. Leg kicks were continuing to land for Pichel as Hubbard was focused on his punches. An eyepoke paused the action recently and Hubbard was able to land a solid straight punch once Pichel recovered. Big punches landed on both sides then Hubbard was swept off his feet for the second time in the round. Pichel landed a few follow up shots but the round came to a close once Hubbard returned to his feet.
Hubbard came out energized in the second round, but Pichel was landing the better shots out of the gate, forcing a takedown attempt from Hubbard. Pichel broke free and Hubbard shot for another takedown, this time dragging his opponent down and briefly taking his back. Pichel popped up and rocked Hubbard with a straight punch and Hubbard decided to stay on his feet to fight through the trouble. Hubbard recovered, but then ate a huge knee to the chin and took Pichel down again. Pichel used a leg lock attempt to bring the fight back to the feet. The round ended with a Pichel takedown attempt.
