UFC Vegas 33: Gloria de Paula Says Fight With Cheyanne Buys Will Go Three Rounds

Las Vegas, NV – Gloria de Paula doesn’t see an early night in her future.

While she didn’t have the UFC debut she had wished for, de Paula wants to reintroduce herself to the UFC fanbase, and she has a willing dance partner this weekend at UFC Vegas 33. Promotion president Dana White thinks so too. On his weekly ‘If You Don’t Know, Now You Know” video post, one of the two fights he decided to highlight was de Paula vs. Buys.

De Paula was excited to be highlighted.

“It was amazing to have him speaking about me. It is really exciting, as I said, this fight has the potential to be the fight of the night. We are both aggressive, so I believe this will be a real war inside the octagon,” de Paula told Cageside Press during her UFC Vegas 33 media day interview.

With both fighters being aggressive, one would think a finish might be the result, but de Paula doesn’t think so.

“Well, I always look for the knockout, but she is a tough opponent, so I believe it will be three rounds,” de Paula said.

Both de Paula and Cheyanne Buys need a win to avoid going 0-2, something they do not want.
