Gabriel “Moggly” Benitez (22-8 MMA, 6-4 UFC)

Featherweight (145lbs.): 5-3 (UFC), Missed weight 1x, The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America-Season 1 Compettior

Lightweight (155lbs.): 1-1 (UFC)

Gabriel Benitez began his UFC journey on the first season of The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America back in 2014. Benitez competed on the show at 145lbs and when he was picked up by the UFC after the show, stayed in that weight class.

Benitez moved up to lightweight in 2020, competing in two bouts before the end of the calendar year.

Ahead of Benitez’s most recently scheduled bout earlier this year in May, he missed weight so badly that the fight had to be canceled. Gabriel was slatted to face Jonathan Pearce but thanks to weighing in at 150.5lbs for the featherweight bout, (as well as his opponent declining to fight at a catchweight), the fight was scratched.
