Chavez Jr vs. Silva takes over June 19 as Triller Card Cancelled

beIN SPORTS has inked a deal to present the undercard Bouts for Tribute to the Kings – Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. vs. Anderson Silva.

The Chavez Jr vs Silva Boxing Event goes down live Saturday, June 19. It all emanates Jalisco Stadium, Guadalajara, Mexico kicking off at 7:00 p.m. EST.

Saturday night was initially slated to feature a Triller Fight Club event as well. That card featured Teofimo Lopez taking on George Kambosos, plus former UFC champ Vitor Belfort boxing a social media user known as “The Real Tarzann.” But a positive COVID-19 test for lightweight kingpin Teofimo Lopez derailed those plans. This has resulted in the full card being moved to August 14.

beIN SPORTS will present seven contests before the Pay-Per-View portion of the Tribute To The Kings card commences. The featured preliminary fight on beIN SPORTS is the super featherweight collision Jose Acosta testing skills against Leonardo Padilla. Acosta boasts a record of 15-2-1 with 10 knockouts and looks to do Guadalajara, Mexico proud here.

The 22-year-old has competed over the last half-decade and owns a victory over the previously undefeated Jorge Zavala. Padilla has put together a record of 19-3 with 14 knockouts and fights out of Petare, Venezuela. The 25-year-old is a seven-year pro. He has captured the WBA Fedebol Super Featherweight title when he bested the 13-2 Daniel Miranda. Padilla is coming off a win over Dionis Martinez on December 19.

The unbeaten Cesar Gutierrez competes against the 14-4 Oscar Mejia in a featherweight fight.

Camalu, Mexico’s Mario Ramirez looks to earn his 16th pro win. He takes on the 8-2 Pedro Castro in a super featherweight affair.

Jose Vazquez clashes against Jonathan Perez in another featherweight fight.

Erik Inunza brings in a one hundred percent KO rate against Carlos Daniel Acosta in a super featherweight collision.

Also, Oscar Munguia steps into the ring with Ricardo Badilo in the featherweight ranks.

Plus, a bantamweight bout featuring Chavez family cousin Karen Rubio colliding with Estefany Alegria in Alegria’s sophomore pro contest.

Tribute to the Kings main card

Topping the marquee for the Tribute to the Kings Pay-Per-View is MMA icon Anderson Silva competing in his most consequential boxing bout yet as he steps into the ring opposite Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. The 46-year old Silva has two prior boxing matches on his professional record, which stands at 1-1. Of course, those game before his storied climb to fame in the UFC.

The co-feature showcases the great Julio Cesar Chavez Senior enter the ring for his swan song fight against Hector Camacho Jr., the son of the man he beat in the historic boxing match “Chavez vs. Camacho in 1992.
