Kamaru Usman and Gilbert Burns will at long last meet inside the octagon atop the UFC 258 card this weekend.

Any number of UFC fans are frantically knocking upon wood having read that statement. And it’s hard to blame them. Usman vs. Burns was supposed to transpire last summer, at the stacked UFC 251 on Fight Island. That was before Burns was hit with COVID-19. Jorge Masvidal (the UFC’s first pick, as a matter of fact), wound up stepping in — and hit a wall in Usman.

Now, former training partners Usman and Burns will be doing all the heavy lifting on the PPV event, as the rest of the night features up-and-comers and a few veterans looking to bounce back. The co-main event is in the latter camp, as Maycee Barber will take on Alexa Grasso, in a bout featuring two key members of the women’s flyweight division’s future.

Weigh-ins for Saturday’s card kick off at 12PM ET. Check below for results.

There was a little scare on the scales early Friday, when champ Kamaru Usman came in at 170.5 for his title fight. However, after removing his rather heavy-duty looking face mask, Usman made championship weight. In the end, the full card made weight on Friday.
