ONE Championship returned to Singapore on Friday with Reign of Dynasties. The card was the promotion’s first in its home base since the onset of the pandemic, during which it had made brief stops in China, and later Thailand, where it taped a number of shows.
Reign of Dynasties signaled, hopefully, more activity from the Asian promotion. It certainly seemed to, as later this month, Inside the Matrix will feature a full four title fights. But to kick off what is expected to be a longer stint in Singapore, Reign of Dynasties kept things simple: five mixed martial arts bouts, including names like Amir Khan and Reece McLaren, plus a Muay Thai title fight featuring Sam-A Gaiyanghadao, successfully defending his strawweight title against Australia’s Josh Tonna.
