Invicta FC returns, once again on a Thursday night, to Kansas City, Kansas for its latest card. Invicta FC 42 will see the promotion crown a atomweight champion, with the vacant belt on the line.

That title will go to the winner of Ashley “Smashley” Cummins, a longtime Invicta competitor, and Alesha “Half Pint” Zappitella.  Liz Tracy, Lisa Verzosa, and others also populate the five-fight card.

As has become the norm during the pandemic era, a couple of fights were lost on Friday. Auttumn Norton and Brittney Cloudy at bantamweight, and the strawweight fight between Jennifer Chieng and Flore Hani, were dropped from the card due to positive COVID-19 test results.

However, one fighter still has a chance to compete. Chieng, who weighed in at 114.9lbs, will face Helen Peralta in a 120lb catchweight fight.

Peralta was not originally on the card but was essentially a backup fighter for the event, in case something went sideways. Which it evidently did.

Full weigh-in results for Invicta FC 42 are below.

Atomweight Title: Ashley Cummins (104.9) vs. Alesha Zappitella (104.4)
Bantamweight: Lisa Verzosa (134.5) vs. Raquel Canuto (135.6)
