Rose Namajunas has some amazing jiu-jitsu and grappling skills that can threaten any fighter in the strawweight division on the ground. Rose’s striking has come a long way and developed so much since her debut in the UFC. Rose ran through all three of her opponents on The Ultimate Fighter Season 20, finishing them all by submission, but coming up just short of the strawweight belt and winning the show. Once on the UFC roster, Rose picked up some more impressive rear-naked choke finishes on her 4-1 run to a title shot.

But undoubtedly Thug Rose’s most impressive finish would have to be her lone pro TKO win over the then-undefeated champion, Joanna Jedrzejczyk. This finish was absolutely amazing, and not just for the finish itself, but for the context around the finish as well. The trash-talking by JJ in the lead up to the fight, three title bouts on one UFC 217 card, and the fact that Rose was supposedly the grappler while JJ was supposedly the striker. That first fight with JJ was Rose’s most recent finish and it just perfectly illustrates how far Rose has come with her standup game and becoming a way more complete martial artist.
