Another bout is set for the upcoming fourth season of Dana White’s Contender Series, and this one features Adrian Yanez and Brady Huang.
Dana White’s Contender Series is back for season four and set to run from August to September — with the first event going down on August 4. With more fights rolling in daily, sources have confirmed to Cageside Press that Yanez (10-3) will take on Huang (11-1) in a bantamweight bout. The fight is set to happen on August 11.
Adrian Yanez, a 26-year-old out of Houston, Texas, trains with a small camp in Metro Fight Club. Yanez has only lost to good competition and in fact, in his entire pro career, he’s only fought one opponent with a losing record. Being from Texas Yanez has split time with regional promotion Fury FC and the well known Legacy Fighting Alliance. He has also fought for Bellator in the past.
Yanez went 6-0 as an amateur and was the Legacy Amateur Series featherweight champion. He went pro in 2014 and with only a trio of losses he’s on a current three-fight win streak. As a pro, Yanez currently has an impressive record of 10-3.
Standing across from Yanez will be Brady “The Kung Fu Warrior” Huang. Fighting out of San Francisco, California Huang trains out of Dragon House MMA. Huang made his pro debut in 2016 and had tons of amateur experience with over 15 fights. As a pro, Huang is 11-1 and on a three-fight win streak. His sole loss is to UFC fighter Martin Day.
Huang’s last fight was for a notable promotion in Pancrase last February. He beat Japanese veteran Fukushima Hidekazu via a unanimous decision. Other than that, Huang has fought for the Dragon House promotion and URCC. He won the Dragon House bantamweight title and was a two-division champion at URCC at 135 and 145 separately.
