Hannah “Shockwave” Cifers (10-5 MMA, 2-3 UFC)
Strawweight (115lbs): 2-3 (UFC)
Flyweight (125lbs): 0-0 (UFC), Making her UFC Flyweight Debut in Upcoming Bout
The last time we saw Hannah Cifers was just two weeks ago, on May 30, against Mackenzie Dern. The bout only lasted for a duration of two minutes and thirty-six seconds ending with Cifers being caught in a kneebar. This is definitely one of the quickest turnarounds in the sport, so it makes sense that Hannah is moving up a weight class.
Cifers is 27 years old and stands at 5’1″ tall and has a 62″ reach. Hannah does the majority of her work on the feet thanks to her Muay Thai background. She has been very powerful and dominant when striking while standing, especially while in the clinch. It should be interesting to see if her strength in the Thai clinch translates when she moves up to the flyweight division. Hannah’s opponent, Mariya Agapova is a young prospect that is making her UFC debut and at 5’6″ and a 70″ reach has fought in the flyweight division for her entire professional career. The size match-up should be very interesting to observe inside the cage.
