Brok “Chata Tuska” Weaver (15-4 MMA, 2-0 UFC)
Lightweight (155lbs): 1-0 (UFC)
Welterweight (170lbs): 1-0 (DWCS)
Brok Weaver has one fight in Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series at 170lbs and one fight in the UFC at 155lbs. After Brok’s decision win on DWTNCS got him into the UFC, he was forced to pull out of his original debut against Thomas Gifford. Eventually, he’d make the walk to the octagon against Rodrigo Vargas. The lightweight fight ended with a disqualification from an illegal knee, but Brok still came away with the win. During the entirety of Brok Weaver’s professional MMA career, he has bounced between welterweight, lightweight, and catchweight fights somewhere in between the two weight classes.
Back when Weaver was forced to withdraw from his scheduled UFC debut against Thomas Gifford, his opponent seemed to think it was because of weight cutting issues:
155 ain't a hard time for me. Making weight ain't the problem of why I'm off this card. I can make 55 tomorrow

Weaver disputed that.
Brok is 28 years old and stands at 6’0″ tall with a 73″ reach. Weaver could very well be one of those ‘tweener’ fighters that are a little too big for 155lbs but a little too small for 170lbs. Even though he might be able to safely make 155lbs., the question of for how long, and at what cost is yet to be answered.
Weaver’s next fight against Roosevelt Roberts is taking place in the UFC’s lightweight division. Weaver is getting another chance to make a splash in the UFC’s deep 155lbs weight class after a less-than-stellar start.
