UFC on ESPN 8: After Shoulder Surgery, Krzysztof Jotko Finally Confident

Krzysztof Jotko had been nursing a shoulder injury for a while. Years. Speaking to media outlets including Cageside Press at the UFC on ESPN 8 virtual media day, Jotko recalled the doctor’s reaction to the damage.

“When my doctor opened my shoulder, he said he had never seen that damaged a shoulder,” Jotko said. “I have like, torn bicep. Torn labrum in the front, in the back. A lot of  problems with my shoulders. It was like, a long time. This last year I was still fighting, I [had] two fights with like very bad shoulders.”

Jotko (21-4), who fights former LFA middleweight champ Eryk Anders this weekend, is much happier and healthier now. It wasn’t always the case, to his own detriment.

“I made a lot of mistakes before in my career, like I fight with Uriah Hall and David Branch with broken hands all the time,” he revealed. There will be no more mistakes like that. “Now I go to the fights one hundred percent confident, I know my body’s one hundred percent.”

The confidence boost has Krzysztof Jotko making a bold prediction for the Anders fight on Saturday night in Jacksonville, Florida. “KO, second round,” he predicted.
