Jamall Emmers is finally a UFC fighter, and he’ll make his debut at UFC 248 next month.
Sources have confirmed to Cageside Press that Emmers, a 30-year old veteran of the west coast regional scene who appeared on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2018, will make his debut against Movsar Evloev at the Las Vegas event. Emmers will replace Douglas Silva de Andrade, whose reason for withdrawing from the bout has not been disclosed.
For Emmers (17-4), his octagon debut will cap off a four-fight win streak that began following his Contender Series loss to Julian Erosa two years ago. All four fights in that stretch resulted in finishes for Emmers. ‘Pretty Boy’ holds notable wins over Cory Sandhagen, Chris Avila, and Alexander Hernandez from earlier in his career.
Emmers was also part of our looks at 10 Featherweight Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2020. He most recently competed on January 31 for LFA, submitting Rafael Barbosa in the main event of LFA 81.
Movsar Evloev (12-0) won his first two UFC bouts last year, earning unanimous decision victories over Seung Woo Choi and Enrique Barzola.
