Raymond Daniels made it two wins inside the Bellator cage, as he proved to be too much for Jason King to handle at Bellator 238.
Ahead of Bellator 238 this weekend, Raymond Daniels, who owns gold in Bellator kickboxing, told us he planned to entertain. He did just that on Saturday night at The Forum in L.A., putting on a dazzling striking clinic before putting opponent Jason King away with ground strikes.
King was first to connect when the action got underway, with a leg kick, and stayed moving – only to be dropped real quick by a Daniels side kick. That compelled King to take another approach, tying Daniels up by the fence. More flashy kicks followed, with Daniels, as expected, putting on a striking clinic.
A left hand dropped King, then a right hand knocked him senseless moments later. King was simply overwhelmed. He tried to lure Daniels into his guard, but Daniels instead responded by clasping his hands behind his back, standing in wait. Like a soldier marching to a certain end, King re-engaged, but it wasn’t long before he was under fire. He’d try for a leg lock, but Daniels got on top and began landing some nasty punches. The ground n’ pound finished it off, giving Daniels his second win in the cage. The consolation for King, his wife Emilee had defeated Ava Knight by submission earlier in the night.
Official Result: Raymond Daniels def. Jason King by TKO, Round 1, 3:07
