Los Angeles, CA — Logan Paul and KSI will meet for the second time in the boxing ring this Saturday in L.A. It’ll be 10oz gloves, no head guards, as the pair are going pro for the event.
Say what you will, but the pair of Youtube stars are going all the way with this one. The event will stream live on DAZN, after the duo’s original bout did upwards of a million buys on Youtube’s PPV service.
Thursday, the pair faced off at one final press conference, and things got just a little heated.
“I think I’ve said everything I need to say,” Logan Paul started with, before calling for questions. Eventually asked about how he was feeling, Paul answered “This is the best day of my life. And tomorrow will also be the best day of my life. And Saturday most importantly will be the best day of my life.”
Asked about the fight going the distance, he replied “You know I’ve thought about that. JJ’s got a big heart. The kid works hard, we know that. He’s got a big ego, and a big ego is going to be his biggest asset in this fight. I think he’s going to get hit in the head a dangerous amount of times. I think he’s going to suffer some severe health repercussions. I’m surprised your manager let you do that.”
Paul went on to question opponent KSI’s dedication, as the Youtube rapper had just released a new track, and been on tour while Logan himself claimed to have focused on training. KSI responded by trying to quiz Paul on boxing history. Which got Logan to challenge KSI to a simple arithmetic question: 7 x 8. For the record, KSI later admitted “honestly I can’t do math.” “You f*cking dumbass” Paul retorted.
KSI also admitted that “this is one of the toughest things I’ve done in my life.”
“This camp has pushed me to the edge. To where I had blood sweat and tears,” he said. “I’ve never worked so hard in my life. I’ve never worked so hard training in my life. That’s why I keep saying mentally, I’ve reached a new level. Because I truly have. I’ve reached a point where I’m not afraid to get hit. I’m not afraid to get punched in the face or take a big body shot. I’m ready to f*ck you up.”
