UFC vet Denis Stojnić will face Cro-Cop student Ante Delija at KSW 51 in Zagreb, Croatia in November.

A pair of notable European heavyweights are set to collide at KSW 51 in Zagreb, Croatia next month. In a press release, promotion officials announced the addition of Ante Delija (16-3) vs. Denis Stojnić (13-3) to the card, which is KSW’s debut in Croatia.

Stojnić has not been defeated since his UFC stint in 2009. That run saw the Bosnia Herzegovina native suffer losses to both Stefan Struve and Cain Velasquez, who were both on the way up at the time. However, Stojnić would go on to win eight straight fights (with a ninth being ruled a no contest). Notable names like Ricco Rodriguez and Christian M’Pumpu were among those ‘The Menace’ got the better of.

Inactive since 2016 (a planned fight against Denis Goltsov fell through last year), he’ll return against local hero Delija. The Croatian heavyweight is a veteran of the PFL and RIZIN, and has recent wins in both promotions. He’s also billed as a protégé of none other than heavyweight legend Mirko Cro Cop. Delija enters the fight on a two-fight win streak.

KSW 51, headlined by another heavyweight tilt featuring Mariusz Pudzianowski vs. Erko Jun, takes place November 9, 2019 at the Arena Zagreb in Zagreb, Croatia.
