UFC Moscow will see Anthony Rocco Martin heading into enemy territory, looking to get back in the win column in a tough bout against Ramazan Emeev.
Anthony Rocco Martin will look to bounce back from a loss to Demian Maia, and he’ll do it in Moscow. Brazilian outlet Combate was first to report that Martin will join the UFC Moscow card in November against Ramazan Emeev. The welterweight fight will see Emeev fighting in his own back yard, looking for his fourth straight UFC win.
Martin (16-5) had a four fight win streak snapped at UFC on ESPN 3 against Maia. Prior to the loss, he had captured wins over Keita Nakamura, Ryan LaFlare, Jake Matthews, and Sergio Moraes. Overall, he’s 8-5 in the UFC.
Emeev (18-3) will be a tough test for the American. He’s yet to taste defeat in the UFC, and is in the midst of a seven fight win streak. Debuting at 170lbs just two fights back, Emeev previously competed at middleweight, where he has a notable win over Sam Alvey. He also had two reigns as the M-1 middleweight champion prior to signing with the UFC.
UFC Moscow (UFC Fight Night 163 / UFC on ESPN+ 21) takes place November 9, 2019 at the CSKA Arena in Moscow, Russia. The card is set to be headlined by Junior Dos Santos, taking on the returning Alexander Volkov.
